Raymond D. Speicher

Millport: Age 56, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center after a three year battle with cancer. Ray was the son of the late William Speicher and is survived by his mother Dorothy Dempsey of Florida. Ray had a life long love for aviation. He had been a flight instructor at Brown Seaplane Base and an instructor at Flight Safety, both in Florida. Ray had built his own airplane and had flown it in several air shows in the northeast United States. He had been employed by Wiggins Airways of Norwood MA for the last several years. Wiggins has a contract with Federal Express and Ray would fly Fed Ex air cargo from Elmira to Rochester. At Ray’s request there will be no services.
