Mary J. Doane

Age 96, of Horseheads, died Saturday, May 22, 2010 at Bethany Manor. Mary was born August 10, 1913, a daughter of Benjamin and Katherine (Beecher) Doane. She is predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law, Marjorie and Francis Rauh. Mary is survived by her niece Deborah (Peter) Peterson of Elmira; nephew James (Mary Kay) Richardson of Cohassett, MA; along with several great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins. Mary was a graduate of Elmira College, continuing her education at Columbia University in NYC, where she received her Masters Degree in Social Work. Her career as a Social Worker was with New York State. Mary was a member of Park Church. Private family services will be held.
