Mary S. Champion

Age 87, of Elmira, died Sunday, January 3, 2010 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Mary was born June 18, 1922. She is predeceased by her husband Harry L. Champion and brother Fred Schadler. Mary is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kathryn C. and Jack Roepnack of Poland, NY; sister and brother-in-law, Charlotte and Holman Griswold of Elmira; brother and sister-in-law, Max and Molly Schadler of Michigan; 4 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews. Mary was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Elmira. A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Joseph Cotner, will be held, Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at McInerny Funeral Home, corner of Water and Walnut Sts. Interment will follow at Tioga Point Cemetery.
