Brody Zuniga
“Peggy”
Elmira: Age 75, died peacefully,
surrounded by her children, at St.
Joseph’s Hospital on Sunday, February 20, 2011. Peggy was born February 8, 1936, a daughter
of John and Margaret (Clancy) Brody. She
is predeceased by her husband, Joseph L. Zuniga; daughter, Patricia Zuniga;
brothers, John and James Brody. Peggy is
survived by her children, with their families, Joseph J. “Joe” and Susan Zuniga
of Pittsford, NY with sons, J.P. and Conor; Margaret “Maggie” and Timothy Tobin
of Elmira with children, Michael, Maria (Wil) Colón, and Erin; Kathaleen
“Kathy” and Gary Miller of Fairport, NY with children, Sean, Lauren, Dan, and
Kate; John M. and Theresa Zuniga of Penfield, NY with children, Colleen, Chris,
and Jacob; James P. Zuniga of Elmira with children Margaret (deceased) and
James; sister and brother-in-law Mary and Jacob Flaitz of Hornell; along with
several nieces and nephews. Peggy was a
graduate of St. Joseph’s
Hospital School of Nursing. She worked
at St. Joe’s for a number of years before going to work at the Chemung County
Nursing Facility from where she retired.
Peggy was a long-time communicant of St. Mary’s Church and a member of
the Ladies’ Division of the Ancient Order of Hibernians. A devoted and loving wife, mother,
grandmother, and sister, she will be missed.
Friends are invited to McInerny
Funeral Home, corner of W. Water and Walnut Sts.,
on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A prayer service will be held at the funeral
home on Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 9:15 a.m., followed by a Mass of
Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m., at St. Mary’s Church, Elmira.
Interment will follow at St. Peter & Paul’s Cemetery. Those wishing may remember Peggy with a

Schools, 1010 Davis Street, Elmira, NY 14901. Officers and member of the Ladies’ Division
of the Ancient Order of Hibernians will meet at McInerny Funeral Home on
Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. to conduct a service for our sister Peggy, signed Mary
Ellen Allington, President.
