“Lenny”

Age 61, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at home. Lenny was born in Elmira on November 9, 1950. He is survived by his parents Leonard J., Sr.
and Helen Ross Rice now residing in Stuart FL; son Matthew Leonard Morseman and
his mother Marsha Morseman both of Erin NY; sister Lenore “Loni” Rice of Archer
FL with her children, Rahshel Rice and Shadsun Leonard Rice with wife
Heather; sister Claire Rice Kuchera of Stuart FL with her children Mikala Ann,
Kelsa Ross and Caden Decker Kuchera; uncle and aunt James and Loretta Ross of
Avon NY. Also surviving are several
cousins. Lenny was predeceased by his
paternal grandmother Louise Morrow; uncle Michael Francis “Fran” Rice; and his
longtime canine companion “Squiggy”.
Lenny was a Harley Davidson enthusiast.
He enjoyed the out of doors, especially bow hunting, fishing, jet
skiing, boating, hang gliding and Keuka Lake. Lenny loved gardening and growing trees from
seeds. Lenny was a master carpenter and
built numerous items for family and friends.
He had worked at EOP in Elmira
for a number of years. Family and
friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, corner of W. Water and Walnut
Streets, on Monday, November 21, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 6:15
p.m. Committal services and interment
will take place on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Pleasant Valley
Cemetery in Hammondsport NY. Donations in Lenny’s memory may be directed
to your local humane society.
