Julia Ann Norton

Elmira:  Age 52, passed away at her home, surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, December 23, 2011. Julia was born January 27, 1959, a daughter of William J. and Mary (Pearson) Norton.  She is predeceased by her sister Kathleen Norton Leach.  In addition to her parents Jule is survived by her husband William R. Norton; children, with their spouses, Gary P. and Lynsay Norton of Chandler AZ; Becky L. and Rodney Lewis of Harrison Valley PA, Elizabeth A. and Miles Burguess of Elmira Heights, Teresa L. and Joshua Hobler of Elmira, Tiffany L. and Steve Hahn of Salina KS; twelve grandchildren; siblings, with their spouses, Robert and Michelle Norton of Elmira, William and Susan Norton of Lowman, Pierce and Anita Norton of Florida, Patricia and Larry Coughlin of Wellsburg, Bonnie and Daniel Flynn of Caton, Carol Marie and Vic Finch of Kansas; brother-in-law Robert Leach of Vermont; mother-in-law Rosemary Brown of Elmira; brother-in-law Joseph Brown; along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Jule, without question, always put others before herself.  Her family meant everything to her and her grandkids always kept her smiling.  Her spirit was kind, beautiful, and infectious.  She made the bad times seem better and good times great.  She brought excitement and joy to so many lives and she will always be remembered as the best daughter, Mother, Grandma, sister, and friend anyone was blessed to know.  Family and friends are invited to Glad Tidings Christian Life Church, 116 Breesport Road, Horseheads, on Tuesday, December 27, 2011, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. A service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours.
