Jason M. Miles

Age 29, of Bath, NY, formerly of Elmira, died unexpectedly at his home, on Monday, February 15, 2010. Jason was born October 31, 1980, son of Mark S. Miles and Cindy Duryea Hoose, both of Elmira. He is predeceased by his grandmother Georgette “Honey” Duryea. In addition to his parents Jason is survived by his son Joshua C. Miles, step-daughter Jasmine Godwin, with their mother Christine Godwin, all of Bath; siblings, Michael (Vicky) Miles of Kanappolis, NC, Lorie (John) McDermott of Baldwin, NY, Steven Miles of Elmira Heights, and Jennifer Miles of Elmira; along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Jason was employed by Widmer Wineries in Naples, NY. He was a coin and baseball card collector. Jason enjoyed playing golf and was an avid New York Yankee fan. Family and friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, 502 W. Water Street, Elmira, on Friday, February 19, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours. Interment will take place on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery. A procession will form at the Walnut Street entrance at 9:50 a.m. In lieu of flowers those wishing may remember Jason with a donation to the Miles/Godwin Education Fund, c/o Steven Miles, 256 Birchwood Avenue, Elmira Heights NY 14903.
