“Herb”
Horseheads: Age 82, passed away with his loving family by
his side, on Thursday, November 24, 2011, at his home. Herb was born October 8, 1929 in Edwardsville
PA, a son of James and Catherine (Morris) Williams. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary
Lou Ruseskas Williams; children, with their spouses, Jay and Mary Lou Williams
of Pine City, Suzanne and Tom Morrissey of Elmira, Kathleen Maggio of Elmira,
Cindi and Bryce Cuyle of Big Flats, Herb and Kelly Williams of Elmira; 12
grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; sisters, Nancy Hendershot of Fort Myers
Beach FL, Catherine Williams of Asheville NC; sisters-in-law, Helene Paulina of
Kingston PA, Rosalie Hoffman of Kingston PA, Bernadine Barney of Virginia Beach
VA; along with several nieces and nephews.
Herb served his country in the U S Army.
He was a retired business agent for the Local Glaziers Union. An avid outdoorsman he loved to hunt and
fish. Herb was a member of the Elmira
Heights American Legion Post #154, an avid NY Yankee fan, and a long time
communicant of St. Mary’s Church,
