88, formerly of Troy PA,
passed away on September 18, 2011 at Hearthstone at Amity in Douglassville, PA.
Cecilia was born in South Orange,
NJ on November 16, 1922 a
daughter of Charles and Gertrude (Saal) Frank. She was predeceased by her
husband of 57 years, Xavier E. Prunera in 2004 Cecilia is survived by son
and daughter-in-law, Tom and Barbara Prunera of Marlborough, MA; daughters and
sons-in-law, Jan and Jay Markwart of Castro Valley, CA, Michelle and Pete
Bergey of Sanatoga PA; grandchildren, Michelle, Kristin, Ben, Joe, Jeff, Matt
and great-grandson, Malachi. Cecilia was a veteran of the U.S. Navy
serving as a WAVE during WW II as a timekeeper in the flight tower at the Naval
Air Stations in Lake City and Jacksonville, FL. She had worked for American Silk
Label in Troy PA. Family and friends are invited to McInerny Funeral Home, corner of W.
Water and Walnut Streets, Elmira
on Friday, September 23, 2011 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. A Mass of
Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church,
1100 W. Church St., Elmira. Committal prayers and
interment, with military honors, will be at St. Peter & Paul’s
Cemetery. Donations in Cecilia’s memory may be directed to Maryknoll
