Alice J. Meyer

Age 101, of Elmira, died Friday, September 24, 2010 at the Chemung County Nursing Facility. Alice was born January 9, 1909, a daughter of William D. and Eliza (Bowman Lovette. She is predeceased by her husband Frederick Meyer and son Gerald VanNorway. Alice is survived by her brother-in-law Chester (Lois) Meyer of Lake Wales, FL; nephews, Charles Myer of Lake Wales, FL and Frederick Meyer, Jr. of Frost Proof, FL; great-nephews, Glen M. Cheney of Syracuse, NY and Jack H. Cheney, with wife Ione, of Zephyrhills, FL; great-great nephews, Lee M. (Dawn) Cheney of Williston, VT, with children, Phillip and Katherine, Jack H. Cheney, II of Zephyrhills, FL, with son Eric; along with several other great-nieces and great-nephews. There will be no services. Alice’s cremains will be buried in Frost Proof, FL at the convenience of the family.
